(32) | A promise with Master craftsman |
I have decided to receive Mr. Miyamoto's masterpiece violin according to
Mr. Udagawa's advice. I could not hold it for a long time for my possession.
I sent him a letter as follows:
As a result of suffering and careful thinking, I have made up my mind to
receive your offer with many thanks as Mr. Udagawa suggested, but if it
is kept permanently by unknown rural dentist, your masterpiece will not
be known in the world of which I can not bear it being buried in obscurity
and decided like this. I shall practice it with all my might just as did
in middle school days and when the instrument grow up to produce tone,
I shall publish the history of violin in western countries.
--- to be continued.
